Our response to COVID-19 outbreak

An update regarding COVID-19:

Hello Everyone,

We understand that your experience at ARZ has been different over the last week, due to COVID-19. Today we would like to provide some new updates.

Changes in the store

• •  We will install plexiglass barriers on our cash registers, to provide separation between our cashiers and customers.
  •  We are taking additional safety measures to lower risk to both customers and staff, including increase frequency of store cleaning, and methods of handling products and serving customers.
  •  We will be offering a limited time service where customers can call and order their shopping baskets in advance, especially for orders on pita bread.
  •  We are encouraging customers to engage in contactless methods of payment.
  • All customers must follow PHYSICAL DISTANCING; Leaving 2 meters between each other.
  •  The store will remain open and operate under adjusted hours. We will now be closing by 8:00 PM until further notice.

Compensation for employees

• •  We are taking the decision to temporarily increase compensation for our employees working on the frontlines. This includes those working at the store, bakery, and distribution centres will be getting a temporarily increase of $2.00 per worked hour retroactive to March 8th 2020 in recognition to their extraordinary efforts during these difficult times to keeping the store operation so effectively.

A message regarding COVID-19:

Dear Customer,

The safety and well-being of our customers and associates is our top priority at ARZ Fine Foods. In light of outbreaks of COVID-19 over the past couple of weeks, we have been working hard to keep our store and bakery clean and safe, as well as implementing and adjusting our health and safety procedures accordingly. Our team is following the guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Canadian health authorities.

We are ensuring there are enough cleaning supplies and increasing the frequency of regular cleanings. Additionally, we are recommending all associates take precautionary measures including, frequent hand washing, social distancing, and staying home when feeling sick.

We ask all customers to consider the wellbeing of their community, and follow guidelines  suggested by WHO and Canadian health authorities.

Our store remains open and continues to be a safe place for you to shop.
